About Us

We are a small workshop making ship's blocks by hand. To us a block is more than a shell and a sheave: shaped and fitted by hand, it runs true, it works under load and, cared for, it lasts. That is what our work is about.

We make each block to suit. The timber, the size and the rig all matter. We advise and make what suits the boat and the rig, honestly and without fuss.

What pleases us most are the boats and restorers that come back, and the blocks worked and kept for years. That is the sign that craft and care are worth something.
